The Work Continues

March 8 is International Women's Day! Today lets pause and congratulate all the women who are making big strides and big impacts on the world around us. It seems like there is LOTS of work to be done, and so much injustice, but for today, let's be inspired and celebrate!  With today we can cheer, shed a tear, find hope, and support the hard work being done around the world.  Check out to see if there is anything going on your neck of the woods!

Take A Look At Yourself

Michael Jackson. Love, hate, or totally ambivalent about him, this video is so powerful and stands true today. It forces you to ask, how far have we really come?? Can we really make a better tomorrow? Thank God for some amazing people who blaze trails for us. And yes, we must look at ourselves. Are we at our very best, are we setting good examples for our children and others around us?? Let's hope so.

A Time To Give

I blame my friend Carrie and thank her very much for indirectly sending me to this amazing site called Global Giving , it was just so powerful. Seems crazy for a website to have that impact, but I am terrible with words and that is all I can come up with. I just felt it was time to do something, but we are on a budget and I had no idea where to start. Women's issues are close to my heart and this seemed like a chance to help out some young women and help empower them. There are LOTS of organizations out there for women and children and it is hard to choose just one. My hope is to pick a different organization every month or 2 and donate. This time I choose the following.......and I hope in some small way it helps!
