Celebrate Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!! In our little town in Michigan there are no big events going on today. We can celebrate in our own way today! I have found some great ideas for the kids to talk about our Earth and what we can do to take care of it!

A very easy and fun idea is to reuse those coffee grounds from your morning coffee to make fossils. When you are done you can hang the fossils up or hide them in the yard for the kids to find =) Find the instructions on Kaboose !!

The EPA has a great list of books for kids to learn about our environment how they can help keep it healthy!

Want an easy and healthy snack for kids? How about making some trail mix together? Here are some easy recipes that you can do with the kids and then maybe head out for a hike!

Here a whole list of trash to treasure crafts that you can do with the kiddos and it helps to pass the time on those rainy days =)

Hope that this list helps spark some ideas to celebrate our beautiful planet and to engage in some thoughtful conversation on protecting our environment. It is also a way to promote healthy living and that has gotta make you feel good!!
